The College of Charleston Friends of the Library and our generous sponsors are pleased to announce the rescheduled date for our evening with retired U.S. Navy SEAL, four-star admiral, and #1 New York Times bestselling author William H. McRaven.
At 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 24th, McRaven will deliver his keynote, “A Life in Lessons” – inspirational and informative wisdom drawn from his life of exceptional public service in the U.S. military and as a leader in higher education.
A Q&A will follow the keynote. An exclusive reception with McRaven for VIP ticket holders will conclude the evening.

About William H. McRaven
William H. McRaven is best known for organizing and overseeing the 2011 raid that led to the death of Osama bin Laden. He served as commander of U.S. Special Operations Command before retiring from the Navy and accepting the chancellor position at University of Texas, his alma mater. In 2014, McRaven’s commencement speech to the graduating class of the University of Texas at Austin went viral with over 25 million views on social media. His best-selling book, Make Your Bed: Little Things That Can Change Your Life…and Maybe the World, builds on the core tenets laid out in his commencement speech.
