Winthrop Roundtable Sponsorships

The College of Charleston Friends of the Library invites you to serve as a sponsor of The Winthrop Roundtable on November 1, 2017, featuring William McRaven.

McRaven – who led U.S. Special Operations Command – organized and oversaw the 2011 Osama bin Laden raid. A retired U.S. Navy SEAL, four-star admiral, and #1 New York Times bestselling author, he currently serves as Chancellor of the University of Texas System. McRaven’s book, Make Your Bed: Little Things That Can Change Your Life…And Maybe the World, arose from a 2014 commencement speech that went viral with over 25 million views.

In keeping with the Roundtable’s mission of highlighting unique viewpoints, McRaven’s address will explore the straightforward, everyday lessons he’s followed throughout his career in the highest echelon of public service.

With an expected audience of 1,000 attendees from the Greater Charleston area, this year’s Roundtable will be held at the Gaillard Center. The Winthrop Roundtable is the Friends of the Library’s signature event with proceeds funding book purchases and technology upgrades for students, faculty and the community.

The Friends of the Library will be distributing 500 tickets to high school and university students free of charge.
